In Georgia, workers' compensation carries frequently allege that a subsequent intervening accident (as opposed to the job injury) is the cause of an injured worker's disability. However, if an injured worker is receiving income benefits and is involved in a subsequent accident, the Georgia Workers' Compensation Act and Board Rules do not allow for unilateral suspension of income benefits.
