In Georgia, there are only a few situations where an adjuster is justified in stopping weekly workers' compensation benefits checks. The insurance carrier can stop sending workers' comp checks when the 350 cap on benefits is reached, when the injured worker actually returns to work, or when the authorized treating physician says the injured worker is capable of returning to work without restrictions. Further, a claims adjustser is required to file a form WC-2 Notice of Suspension of Benefits when suspending income benefits. If you would like to discuss suspension of your benefits with an expereinced workers' compensatoin attorney, call Brian H. Sumrall at (404) 857-3835 or visit
