Suspension of workers' comp benefits in Georgia.

In Georgia, a workers' compensation carrier can suspend TTD benefits based on a normal duty work release from the authorized treating physician. However, the workers' compensation carrier has to provide ten days notice prior to suspension of benefits and they must attach a copy of the normal duty work release. Frequently, an injured worker will not actually be able to return to work despite a normal duty work release. If you feel your work comp benefits have been suspended incorrectly, contact Atlanta workers' compensation attorney Brian H. Sumrall at (404) 857-3835 or visit
